Awaiting an Epiphany

A few words before going through the poem This poem has been a silent witness to both weal and woe in every human life. That drove the speaker persona to act like a pendulum, oscillating between hope and despair. Hope, you all enjoy the humble poem. The poem : 'Awaiting an Epiphany' The sunbeams seem to wane; Hope becomes too scanty; Life seems to be a blind lane; There lingers just van'ty. I try to catch a straw, In spite of every dreary dread; There’s no peace; there’s no law; Before my demise, I’ve been dead. The more the days fly away, The more unknown the faces are; I sing on my lonesome lay In the pursuit to be a star. Sometimes, myself do I console, “Let this life move on fast.” There’ll be none for me to condole, When I do breathe my last. How uncanny life has been! The brevity, sometimes, does pain; Moments of love are left unseen; Will I never find them again?
