The Best Teacher
A few words So long I had been distressful, so long I had been disobedient, and so long I had been blind to realise what maternal love means. Incidentally, I came to perceive her selfless love, affection and sacrifices. How could I remain so ignorant of that my first and best teacher in life is none other than my mom? My first, my best teacher ever, Lesson me how to endure; Life’s wintry nights make me shiver; Your love of bliss does ensure. When I’m in peril, great peril, You are there to cover my fears; Your affection lets me stay still, Wiping my eyes too full of tears. With your counsels so pure and true, I find my abode in your lap; You are ageless, always so new; You shelter me at times of mishap.
