War and Peace

Image
It’s been a long while that I haven’t posted any writing. However, today I’ve shared one of my poems with you all. War and Peace is a poem that I penned a few days ago. In this regard, it is supposed to be noted that as long as human civilisation is in the being, we cannot escape from oscillating like a pendulum all day and all night. However, love for mankind can be an effective antidote, I suppose. The poem— War and Peace Sometimes, I do opine To secure, to establish my rights; Peace is an eglantine , Advising to cease the age-old fights. We all become a pensive pendulum Between human rights and pure peace ; This dilemma must, must be overcome; We must, we need, we’ll obtain bliss. In the era of such decadence , We need to claim our rights ; Still, bereft of over-confidence, We can cease our prolonged fights. We do, we do need an antidote; What can it be then? What? Let’s not become a stupid scapegoat ; We must try none to hurt. As long as we all do exist...

The Best Teacher

Image
A few words So long I had been distressful, so long I had been disobedient, and so long I had been blind to realise what maternal love means. Incidentally, I came to perceive her selfless love, affection and sacrifices. How could I remain so ignorant of that my first and best teacher in life is none other than my mom?   The poem—‘ The Best Teacher ’ Just as the new sunbeams dawn The hemisphere, you, too, Mom, Grow greenery on my heart’s lawn, Fill me up with new freedom.   My first, my best teacher ever, Lesson me how to endure; Life’s wintry nights make me shiver; Your love of bliss does ensure.   When I’m in peril, great peril, You are there to cover my fears; Your affection lets me stay still, Wiping my eyes too full of tears.   With your counsels so pure and true, I find my abode in your lap; You are ageless, always so new; You shelter me at times of mishap.   Though I lose temper at times, I recall what you always say, “Can you hark the bell that chimes? Y...

The Crushing Crash

Image
I got crashed; I became crashed; There must be some reason; I endured when I was lashed; Still, all slandered me of treason .   I get flown by the Pilot, Who, too, succumbed with me; Tooth and nail he had fought, But who won was destiny .   It’s a world that’s too strange, Of course, in the negative way; Slaughter is beyond my range; I can’t even think of it any day.   Sometimes, I become free, Free to have a vivid voice; None can escape from destiny That snatches our each rejoice.   None ever thank me for my aid, When they approach their destination; In dire disgrace I am laid; Well, there’s no procrastination.   I lost my all; I lost my life; I failed to land on London ; Humanity’s too full of strife; All, all become too undone.   How could I save them all? I, too, had to die in the crash; I took off; then I did fall; Then occurred the brutal lash.   It’s too easy to blame o...

Live to Light Up

Image
A Few Words It’s an uncanny world . The more we do care for the others, the more care they will desire. This goes on. We try to meet the expectations. However, one very day, we might find out the saturation point when we must, when we ought to be dawned. Nothing remains the same. The turning tables bring weal and woe . As soon as we understand it, the better we can be able to enjoy our life. Yes, this world is uncanny to the utmost. Hence, we should never think of any reciprocation. Instead, we all must keep it in mind that we came here alone; likewise, we all must live on our own; finally, we all will have to step out of this world without anybody’s care as well. However, the essential point is that if you try to help a person or care for him or her, never think to be reciprocated, because this world is full of darkness in spite of the day-lamp in the sky, and the moon and the stars at night. Hence, we can illuminate our own world with our tireless efforts to make the world ...

The Tolling Knell

Image
This world is too, too full of illusion . Well, it is too easy when we say so, but it is actually too much tough for any of us to admit it from the very core of our within. Days go by, years roll away; still, we cannot get respite from such snares here; we fall in love with these instead. However, the sooner we come to learn the truth, the better. Nevertheless, we all are humans, made of flesh and blood. Hence, although it sounds so smart, we actually become even unsmarter than we used to be before. It does pain a lot. The poem—‘The Tolling Knell’   No more shall I irritate; I promise you this; This world does asphyxiate ; That world’s full of bliss .   It’s time for me, it’s time for me To be off, to be off; That world does, does beckon me; No more, please, be in sob.   Bid me farewell, bid me farewell; Bid adieu in smile; Tolls my knell, hark, there tolls my knell , Bereft of any guile.   I’m done with my role; It’s time f...

Silent Diligence

Image
A few words before going through the poem Who has never been bullied ? Yes, it is true that each one of us has to combat such bullying in this way or that. Moreover, it is also true that we all have to ward off such foul things everywhere with our indomitable spirit. In spite of all such things, we become sensitive sometimes and fail to cope with the adverse situation. What are we supposed to do then? We should work in silence to prove ourselves unique in our own way. Definitely, our honesty plays a lot in this regard. The poem—‘Silent Diligence’ I lost hope; I broke down; Who was there to save me then? I looked awkward in that gown; Yours was a wolves’ dire den .   So many years rolled away; Still, your scary scorn Blurs my world even today; I need a new morn.   “Be it for a penny or be it for a dime, You can never, never stand On your own feet, regardless of time; You’re born to digest reprimand .”   I was bullied; I was stung; They...

Determination

Image
A few words before reading the poem ' Determination ': The way to success is too tough. There will be tears, there must be rocks, there is supposed to be thorns and there will naturally be fiery criticism all through the journey. Such barkings must never sidetrack us at all. We must remain determined through and through. In this regard, it ought to be noted that we all must undergo all such ordeals to be seasoned in course of time. Let not anyone try to tear you down. Instead, let their claws be shattered into pieces. Gain this much strength in you, no matter what. None can, henceforth, or none will even ever dare to try to demean you. Why? It is so because they will know that you are not going to heed any of them at all. All such things can be gained from your sheer determination. The poem 'Determination' Dogs shall keep barking ; Still, never let them vex you; It's your life, for sure. You may like to read all of my blogs: https://somalimukherjee.blogspot....

The Moody Sky

Image
A few words before going through the poem ' The Moody Sky ' Have you ever felt like the sky is crying? Well, has any one of us felt his indignation? If yes, then you must have true love for Nature . It's easy to speak a lot; however, it is that difficult to fructify the words. Who said Nature never cries? Who said Nature never becomes outrageous? If we can't feel it, it must be admitted that we have indifference to her. The sky is weeping in pain and having wrath as well. He is moody indeed just as we are. We are supposed to esteem the sky that is actually a part of our Mother Nature who loves all of us a lot. All of us must acknowledge the fact that we can never live on our own if we ever endeavour to ignore Nature. She may be our gentle mother, but, at the same time, she is our discipliner to train us all so that we may follow the right track of virtue. As we evince mood swings, Nature does too. We can never, never turn away from her. Therefore, it is recommended tha...

Numbness

Image
A few words before we go through the poem called ‘Numbness’: Let us all open our discussion with the legendary proverb that “Cowards die many times before their deaths…” Likewise, in this world of decay, disgrace and degeneration , we all are supposedly living our death. That is to say, our corporal bodies are alive, but our within has been slaughtered long ago. Well, who did so? Yes, we did it on our own. Thanks to our great conscience and civilised intelligence , we all are alive, or should we say, we are living and loving our death? Well, we have no option, for sure. Hence, we are bound to live and love our death. We all made it on our own. The consequences are, therefore, supposed to be endured by us alone then. Day by day, we are getting infected with more and more numbness in all respects . We reap what we sow, right? The poem—‘Numbness’ My heart felt so numb That I had to die, I had to, Before death, becoming dumb, In a trance to seek what’s true.   Everyt...

A Gift to the World's Best Dad

Image
Like an umbrella, You protect all of us; Every little corolla Is saved from the fuss. This world may change a lot, But your affection never; Life is a battle to be fought; You teach me so forever. When it comes down to quarrel, You become silent, so silent; Overflows your barrel Of pain and sentiment. I know I cause you pain; I do get over remorse; If it happens time and again, There remains no love, but force. I tell you 'sorry', A word too little to say; It all becomes a different story, As atonement 's told 'nay'. As I hurt you a lot, Dad, My heart, too, does, does bleed; My temper turns me as if mad; I commit another ill deed. Still, you keep blessing me, Though I don't change, Dad; I tread on the path of memory To find the best dad. I wish to control my wrath; I do wish to stay calm; To return to the right path, I need you, Dad, my true chum . As the worst sinner, I blame you, I blame mum; I try to be cleaner, But my sins snatch my hum. Life is so uncanny T...

Awesome Nature

Image
A few words before we read the poem How do we treat Nature? We sometimes wonder why we are treated harshly by her, don't we? Well, the fact is that we are paid back in the same coin. What's unfair in this regard? If we can repay one another roughly and such impact affects the state of our Mother Nature also, what's wrong if she pays us back? Truly, everything depends on our outlook, on our expression, on our activity and everything as such. Yes, Nature is, she indeed is our mother who is not only merciful but also malignant sometimes for the sake of disciplining us all. The poem ' Awesome Nature ' For the first time ever It feels so scary; These waves make me shiver; A fear of dreams dreary… Rolling ripples make me wonder; The sun as if bows down; Candy floss and the squander Add gems to her godly gown. Mom did tell me before, “It feels so exciting.” It balms all my sore, But sometimes devastating. The roar of the rigorous ripple Draws me back and ...

The Coronation

Image
A few words Have you ever wondered how beautiful Nature is? Have you ever felt from your within that her sound reverberates within us as well? We may try by all means to stay away from her, but we cannot overlook that she is actually within us also. How can we deny that each one of us is a particle of hers? We are not torn away from her at all; we are her fruits instead. Just come out of your room, just keep quiet and stretch your arms to embrace her. You can evidently feel something about her. You can certainly get lost in her unadulterated and timeless beauty. She uses no cosmetics , no makeups , nothing as such; still, we can guarantee that her beauty did, does and will do excel all of ours always. No matter who you are, no matter what you do, no matter how wealthy you are, just come out and get to know that you can never, never be as happy as that, as and when you take an expedition by closing your eyes and feeling every rhythm of Nature. You may have lots of gold, you may ...

Self-deceived

Image
A few words The word ‘deception’ is about to be too clichéd very soon. We speak a lot about being betrayed , being deceived, being cheated , being lied to , being duped , and so on and so forth. It feels as if ‘ impostors ’ are about to be rewarded because of being nominated by our feeble selves every now and then. Yes, surely, this world nowadays has become full of negativity. Still, the burning question is still in being: “Who can deceive us unless we take that into account?” People can try to deceive us, for sure. It is the order of the day as well. Still, why should we permit ourselves to be deceived? That is probably the greatest deception ever found. It is easy to blame someone else; it is comfortable to pass the buck , isn’t it? Well, the fundamental problem lies in ourselves, in our within. Who can deceive us if we stay strong and stout both from inside and outside? Nevertheless, we cannot possibly deny that it is our brutal selves that deceive us actually. Why? This is...
